Is it still moving? A crack that has been painted over twice and looks the same as last year behaves differently from one that widened over a wet spring. We mark and monitor when it is borderline. Carbon fiber has enormous tensile strength, so once bonded to the inside face, the straps stop the wall from bending any further.

The advantages are real: no excavation, no digging up the yard, and an install that usually takes a day. The limits are just as real. Straps hold the wall where it is; they do not straighten it. And they are only appropriate up to that two-inch threshold.
